The Philanthropic Heliotropic
When Sunflower was a little bud
And sat outside to play
He followed, with his face, the sun
Until it dipped away.
As he grew older, all a-flower,
He soon changed his gaze
And kept his face turned to the spot
The sun was due to blaze.
Finally, when it was no more
His day in the sun
The face that launched a thousand blooms
A bird feeder had become.
Sunflower anklet and bracelet can be found here.
Finch on a sunflower from this blog
Baby sunflower found here.
