On the First Day of Christmas...

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me
A black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me
Two Christmas angels and a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Six Lab Retrievers
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Seven barking Dachshunds
Six Lab Retrievers
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the eight day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Eight flying piggies
Seven barking Dachshunds
Six Lab Retrievers

Nine cups of coffee
Eight flying piggies
Seven barking Dachshunds
Six Lab Retrievers
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Ten golden angels
Nine cups of coffee
Eight flying piggies
Seven barking Dachshunds
Six Lab Retrievers
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Eleven resting goddesses
Ten golden angels
Nine cups of coffee
Eight flying piggies
Seven barking Dachshunds
Six Lab Retrievers
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Twelve dancing skunkies
Eleven resting goddesses
Ten golden angels
Nine cups of coffee
Eight flying piggies
Seven barking Dachshunds
Six Lab Retrievers
Five white elephants...
Four brave sea turtles
Three starfish to wish on,
Two Christmas angels
And a black cat to sleep beneath the tree.

The Purple Cat

by Cornerstoregoddess

I had a lovely purple cat,

Her name was Miss O'Learia

And when she wanted time alone

She hid in the wisteria.

(She's not hiding now and can be found here and here.)

A Tale of Two Littermates

Photobucket

Said kitty to his littermate,
"I'm ready for a Twitter date.
I see a critter as my fate...
Someone to share my glitter crate."

Photobucket

Replied the kitty's littermate,
"Please don't fall for some spitter date
Who drools inside our glitter crate,
Or one who flitters at the gate."

Photobucket

At last the two fine littermates
Both lined up two twin Twitter dates
They cast their luck to critter fates
For good things comes to those who waits.

The Cats of KilKenny

There once were two cats of Kilkenny,

Photobucket

Each thought there was one cat too many;

Photobucket

So they fought and they fit,

Photobucket

And they scratched and they bit,

Photobucket

'Til, excepting their nails,

Photobucket

And the tips of their tails,

Photobucket

Instead of two cats, there weren't any.

Photobucket

Many CHARMing cats remain here, however.

There Was a Black Cat...

There was a black cat, name of Inky
Whose personal hygiene was stinky.
He slept in a bed with a gnawed-off mouse head
And slurped it like it was a binky.

There was a black cat, name of Mo
Whose shedding was designed to show
That if you wore white he could fix it up right
'Til it looked more like crow than like snow.

There was a black cat named Denise
Who refused to desist and decease
With her howling and yowling and her late night prowling,
She gave all the meeces no peace.

There was a fine shop with some kittens
To pay for the feral cats' mittens,
Their shots and their fixes and and all their cat sickses
Because their cat lady was smittens.

When Irish Cats are Purring

Photobucket

When Irish cats are purring,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the tabbies sing.

Photobucket

When Irish cats are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish cats are purring,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

Photobucket

Have your heart stolen here.
