Dear Self,
Today I want you to look at yourself in the mirror and repeat what Muhammad Ali once said about himself: “I'm not the greatest; I'm the double greatest.”
Today I want you to pull out one of those pairs of “fat pants” lying dormant on the top shelf of your closet and try ‘em on in remembrance of the not-so-good ol’ days.
Today I want you to take a moment during your workout (you are working out today, right?) and say grace for the fact that you CAN work out today.
Today I want you to go leave some comments on other bloggers’ posts to repay all the fantastic comments you’ve been blessed with right here.
And today I’d like you recognize that you can love and appreciate yourself just the way you are and still strive to bring about positive and healthy change in your life.
Albert Einstein once said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”
I’d like you to say, “Amen to that.”

Who Was This St. Valentine Guy, Anyway?
A brief answer, in verse.
He might have been a Roman priest
Entombed on Via Flaminia
Or else a priest from Viterbo
Who caused his boss chagrinia.
Or else he was a bishop who
Hailed from Province Raetia
Unless he was the hermit priest
Who kept his life discreetia.
Whoever was Valentius
His day is rife with phobias
For men who lapse and fail to gift
On all parts of the globe-ias.
So if you shake and quake with fear
When this saint's day is nearing ya
Check out the brightandshinythings
To which I'm quickly steering-ya.

My Mother's Chocolate Valentine
My Mother's Chocolate Valentine
by Jack Prelutsky

I bought a box of chocolate hearts,
a present for my mother,
they looked so good I tasted one,
and then I tried another.

They both were so delicious
that I ate another four,
and then another couple,
and then half a dozen more.

I couldn't seem to stop myself,
I nibbled on and on,
before I knew what happened
all the chocolate hearts were gone.

I felt a little guilty,
I was stuffed down to my socks,
I ate my mother's valentine...
I hope she likes the box.
If you ate all your mother's chocolates, you could always get her a bracelet instead. She'd probably like it a lot.

I Love You More Than Applesauce
I Love You More Than Applesauce
by Jack Prelutsky

I love you more than applesauce,
Than peaches and a plum,
Than chocolate hearts,
And cherry tarts,
And berry bubble-gum.

I love you more than lemonade,
And seven-layer cake,
Than lollipops,
And candy drops,
And thick vanilla shake.

I love you more than marzipan,
Than marmalade on toast;
For I love pies
Of any size,
But I love you the most.

LOVEly earrings here.

To Ogden Nash's Valentine
To My Valentine
by Ogden Nash
More than a catbird hates a cat,
Or a criminal hates a clue,
Or the Axis hates the United States,
That's how much I love you.
I love you more than a duck can swim,
And more than a grapefruit squirts,
I love you more than a gin rummy is a bore,
And more than a toothache hurts.
As a shipwrecked sailor hates the sea,
Or a juggler hates a shove,
As a hostess detests unexpected guests,
That's how much you I love.
I love you more than a wasp can sting,
And more than the subway jerks,
I love you as much as a beggar needs a crutch,
And more than a hangnail irks.
I swear to you by the stars above,
And below, if such there be,
As the High Court loathes perjurious oathes,
That's how you're loved by me.
Brightandshinythings with heart here.

L-O-V-...
LOVE

Ricky was "L" but he's home with the flu.
Lizzie, our "O", had some homework to do.

Mitchell, "E" prob'ly got lost on the
way.
So I'm all of love that could make it today.
